Grant White obtains his Private Pilot’s License!

On February 28, 2022, Grant White, obtained his Private Pilot’s License. Congrats Grant! Grant is a past officer of flight club 502, current sophomore in college and joining the Air National Guard.

Flight Club 502 is a non-profit 501 (c)(3), based out of Bowman Field (KLOU), Louisville, KY. It is dedicated to teaching teens about leadership and success through realistic goal setting in aviation and through Next Gen/STEM education.

The organization was established in 2015 by a group of high schoolers who wanted to inspire other students to succeed while incorporating aviation and STEM subjects as a springboard for that success. Flight Club 502 is owned and operated by youth members with professional adult supervision.

We have 750 youth members, 310 kids soloed, 204 Private Pilot Licenses, 8 Instrument ratings, and counting! In the past 12 months we offered programming to 1500 youth outside our organization! In 2019, we built an RV-12 that was flown to Oshkosh in a UPS 747 aircraft to be displayed!
