Congratulations to Adam Bohachevsky for getting his Private Pilot’s License on January 21st, 2024! Adam graduated Nelson County High School in 2022 and has since pursued aviation. Adam’s favorite memories of Flight Club 502 involve meeting interesting people and making new friends. He plans on starting his instrument rating next and continuing his dream to one day be an airline pilot. Blue Skies Adam✈️!

Flight Club 502 is a non-profit 501 (c)(3), based out of Bowman Field (KLOU), Louisville, KY. It is dedicated to teaching teens about leadership and success through realistic goal setting in aviation and through Next Gen/STEM education.

The organization was established in 2015 by a group of high schoolers who wanted to inspire other students to succeed while incorporating aviation and STEM subjects as a springboard for that success. Flight Club 502 is owned and operated by youth members with professional adult supervision.

We have 750 youth members, 310 kids soloed, 204 Private Pilot Licenses, 8 Instrument ratings, and counting! In the past 12 months we offered programming to 1500 youth outside our organization! In 2019, we built an RV-12 that was flown to Oshkosh in a UPS 747 aircraft to be displayed!
