At Flight Club 502, we’re committed to providing our members with the best resources to support their aviation journeys. Today, we’re excited to announce the release of a new series of learning materials designed to guide and educate our flying members before and during their flight training. These materials are now available and are sure to be a valuable tool in mastering the essentials of flight preparation and operation.

Flight Club 502 is a non-profit 501 (c)(3), based out of Bowman Field (KLOU), Louisville, KY. It is dedicated to teaching teens about leadership and success through realistic goal setting in aviation and through Next Gen/STEM education.

The organization was established in 2015 by a group of high schoolers who wanted to inspire other students to succeed while incorporating aviation and STEM subjects as a springboard for that success. Flight Club 502 is owned and operated by youth members with professional adult supervision.

We have 750 youth members, 310 kids soloed, 204 Private Pilot Licenses, 8 Instrument ratings, and counting! In the past 12 months we offered programming to 1500 youth outside our organization! In 2019, we built an RV-12 that was flown to Oshkosh in a UPS 747 aircraft to be displayed!
